By Way of Apology For Neglecting This Blog Lately, Here's Herman Hesse's Steppenwolf in Movie Form
This is a rare treat and totally unexpected by me. Just having finished Herman Hesse's triumphant novel Siddhartha, I was eager to revisit Steppenwolf as well, so I thought I'd do a simple search on YouTube for the movie, not even knowing it existed, and lo and behold, not only had it been filmed, but it was done by Fred Haines, who made James Joyce's Ulysses into a fine movie several years before. Enjoy!!!
